Official Event

Get ready for a pre-party for ALA Think Tank and EveryLibrary supporters at the ALA Midwinter Conference in Boston. This is an excellent opportunity for you to meet many of your fellow conference colleagues before it starts and build new relationships and meet new friends. We will be at the second floor of the bar and waiting for you!

The Black Rose has a special place in ALATT history since it's where many of the admins of the group originally met. So we're going back to the beginning here.

About Black Rose
Serving up pints and traditional fare since 1976, Boston’s premier Irish Pub and Restaurant is the embodiment of spirited times. ‘Roisin Dubh’ or the small black rose originates from a 17th century poem inked by an anonymous author; “Over the highways and byways the pilgrim goes aflame with the name of my small black rose.” This is the essence of the Black Rose…an experience to stimulate the senses and create memories for years to come.

This event is absolutely free to everyone and just organized as a place to meetup before the conference but if you'd like to do more, we would love to suggest a $10 donation to EveryLibrary, the Nation's first and only national PAC for libraries. EveryLibrary helps libraries win elections for local funding and is completely supported by people like you. You can make a contribution at our contribution page.

Finally,we'd love to encourage all attendees to take a second and sign the pledge to support libraries at the ballot box and share the pledge with your friends and family.
