Sign Up For National Disability Voter Week at Your Library
We're proud to partner with RevUp and American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) to encourage libraries to help people with disabilities register to vote!
We would like to invite your library to be a part of the National Disability Voter Registration Week this July 15 - 19, 2018. Last year, over 150 libraries in 46 states participated in the effort to reach and register to vote more Americans live who with a disability. We hope your library can become an official NDVRW site this year to help move this important civic and social effort forward.
Please register your library here to take part in this program and join this important effort.
As the only national organization dedicated to building voter support for libraries, it is very important for EveryLibrary to work on voter registration projects that reach all Americans. That’s why we are so proud to again partner with the American Association of People with Disabilities (AAPD) on their 2019 RevUP! Campaign. When you register your library as a 2019 NDVRW site, we will send you the AAPD / EveryLibrary “Guide for Libraries” on how to plan successful outreach and voter registration efforts. Whatever level of voter registration support you can provide, it will go a long way to helping anyone who wants to vote to become a registered voter.
At EveryLibrary, we believe that each person who is eligible to vote should have access to the tools to register, but also to have a polling place and a ballot that is accessible. If that’s important to you as well, please sign up to keep in touch with public policy issues too. If you’re in library leadership and can make the decision to sign up, please visit EveryLibrary’s NDVRW page today. We look forward to supporting your National Disability Voter Registration Week efforts this year!
We're also excited to offer these free embeddable voter tools that you can place on your website so that your community can quickly and easily register to vote, find a polling place, check their registration status, sign up for voting reminders, or request absentee ballots. These are a great way to engage your community and ensure that your library's users are also registered to vote! These are also a great tool during NDVRW to assist you with registering patrons throughout the week.
