You Can Take Action on Legislation Impacting Libraries in 2024

If you see anti-library legislation in your state that you would like to take action on, you can launch a petition against it at fightforthefirst.org.

EveryLibrary is monitoring state legislation during the 2024 session that would limit Americans' freedom to read and think for themselves.

View our national tracker of legislation of concern here.

Of most concern are proposed laws that would allow for criminal prosecution of librarians, educators, higher ed. faculty, and museum professionals.

But we can't fight against this kind of legislation alone. Activism works best when communities take action on issues that impact their lives.

That's why we're inviting you to take action today!

If you see anti-library legislation in your state that you would like to take action on, you can launch a petition against it at fightforthefirst.org

All campaigns on our fightforthefirst.org platform will be supported with pro-bono consulting and up to $1,000 in digital ads. We'll help you every step of the way.
