Public libraries are forced to take books off their shelves or have their librarians face prison time, and books of all kinds are being censored. 

We believe every American has the right to decide what to read for themselves. The government should not choose what you can or cannot read!

The California Freedom to Read Act of 2024 (AB1825) would prohibit book bans in California’s public libraries. The State Assembly has already passed it—now the Senate can send it to the Governor to become law.
