Elon Musk and his DOGE team have fired the staff responsible for fulfilling Freedom of Information Act Requests at the Office of Personnel Management.
Terminating these employees will mean that Americans can no longer submit FOIA requests to that key federal agency. If this goes unchecked, this administration will be able to hide its actions from the public and the press.
Americans have a right to know what the government is doing, and the only reason a government would eliminate these employees is to eliminate government transparency.
