Senate Bill 8: "Library Budgets" is heading to the Indiana House of Representatives, and it must be stopped. SB8 will fundamentally destabilize and harm every Indiana public library. If Senate Bill 8 passes, libraries can be easily defunded by their county or city. This is not how library governance has worked in Indiana for generations.
