Description:

Our Donor Thank-You Note Volunteers work with the Fundraising team to craft heartfelt stewardship letters and handwritten notes that show our appreciation to EveryLibrary’s supporters. If you enjoy writing, have neat handwriting, and want to help strengthen donor relationships, this is the perfect role. Volunteers set their own schedules and complete a small, consistent batch of thank-you notes each week, ensuring donors feel recognized and valued.

Duties:

Volunteers will collaborate closely with the Fundraising Coordinator and key team members. Core responsibilities include:

Note Writing: Produce personalized handwritten thank-you notes and stewardship letters for assigned donors each week.
Message Customization: Tailor tone and content to match donor history, campaign focus, and current messaging guidelines.
Timely Completion: Meet weekly goals for the number of notes written and mailed, honoring agreed deadlines.
Record Keeping: Log completed notes in our tracking portal so the team has an accurate record of stewardship touches.
Team Communication: Check in regularly with the Fundraising team, ask clarifying questions, and flag any challenges promptly.

Flexible Commitment Opportunities: You choose when and where you write. The target is to complete 10–20 notes per week, but we can adjust based on your availability.

Qualifications:

Clear, legible handwriting and a friendly, appreciative writing style.
Strong written communication skills and attention to detail.
Organized and self-motivated, able to set personal deadlines and follow through.
Comfortable collaborating with a remote team and providing timely progress updates.
Has fun with words and enjoys making someone’s day through a handwritten message.
