Urge Governor Ayotte to Veto HB 324 - Protect New Hampshire's Schools and School Libraries

The New Hampshire Senate has passed HB 324, a bill that threatens our state's proud tradition of local control and educational freedom. Join MomsRising and EveryLibrary in calling on Governor Kelly Ayotte to veto HB324. She has emphasized the importance of keeping New Hampshire "safe, prosperous, and free," and now has the opportunity to uphold these values by vetoing HB 324.

Our Concerns:

  • Constitutional Issues: HB 324 raises serious First Amendment concerns by potentially restricting access to diverse educational materials.
  • Criminalization of Educators: The bill would unjustly penalize teachers and librarians, undermining their professional judgment and dedication.
  • Erosion of Local Control: By centralizing authority in Concord, HB 324 diminishes the role of local school boards and parents in educational decisions.

Recent polling by MomsRising and EveryLibrary shows that a majority of New Hampshire voters oppose such overreach into local education. This legislation would lead to censorship of educational materials and criminalize educators and school librarians for the books in their libraries and classrooms.

Take Action Now: Send a message to Governor Ayotte urging her to veto HB 324 and protect the integrity of New Hampshire's educational system.
