Officeholder Pledge to fight for the First Amendment

I commit to supporting the First Amendment rights of Americans to determine for themselves what to read and for parents to determine what is appropriate for their children to read. I believe that our public libraries and school libraries provide a great service to communities and commit to be a champion for them by opposing book bans and efforts to criminalize the work of librarians and educators through the targeted expansion of state obscenity laws.
