Project 2025 is Canceled?
Is Project 2025 really canceled? Probably not. They're still coming after libraries and library workers.
It was recently claimed that Project 2025 was winding down, but is that really the case?

Heritage Foundation President Kevin Roberts said in a statement that under the project's outgoing director, Dans, Project 2025 “has completed exactly what it set out to do: bringing together over 110 leading conservative organizations to create a unified conservative vision."
He continued, “Our collective efforts to build a personnel apparatus for policymakers of all levels—federal, state, and local—will continue.”
Over 5,000 Americans demonstrated their opposition to Project 2025.

We also know that, in addition to the Heritage Foundation, other anti-library and anti-First Amendment groups, such as Moms for Liberty and Turning Point USA, were partners in the development of Project 2025, and none of those organizations are going away.
For the past decade, the Heritage Foundation has been calling for the end of the Institute of Museum and Library Services (IMLS) and an end to the federal Department of Education. In the last three years, they have enacted legislation in 12 states to allow for the incarceration of librarians. They are consistent in their attacks on the future of libraries and learning.
They will not stop.
We'll put 100% of your donations to work to fight against these attacks on librarians, authors, publishers, and educators.
They will continue to work behind the scenes to fight for the policies laid out in Project 2025 and push for legislation that calls for the dismantling of libraries and the incarceration of library workers, educators, publishers, and authors, as they have done in the past.
That's why we can't let up on this fight.
