School Library Action Week - Back the bills.

Turn public support into law.

Emails and petition signatures matter. Lobbying, organizing, and voter mobilization turn public support into votes in Congress. EveryLibrary does that work, and your donation is what makes it possible.

Thursday, April 30 · School Library Action Week

Email Congress and sign on for the Fight Book Bans Act.

Please email Congress today and urge them to pass the Fight Book Bans Act, then add your name to show public support. H.R.7691 would provide federal grants to help districts protect students’ access to educational materials and maintain a full, uncensored learning environment.

Day 03 · School Library Action Week

One bill. One email, one petition.

Support the Fight Book Bans Act

EveryLibrary is proud to support the reintroduction of the "Fight Book Bans Act" H.R.7691 (2026), led by Rep. Maxwell Frost and co-sponsored by Rep. Frederica Wilson and Rep. Jamie Raskin.

Across the country, schools are being forced to spend time and resources responding to bad-faith book challenges. Too often, they simply cannot afford the fight. We thank these leaders for stepping forward to help school districts defend access to books in the face of rising censorship.

H.R.7691 would provide federal grants to help districts protect students’ access to educational materials and maintain a full, uncensored learning environment. Now it needs public support.

The rest of the week.
